Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
This Acceptable Use Policy governs the use of Reliable Networks Internet Network, the ("Network"),
offered by Reliable Networks - a service division of Simple Logic Corporation ("Reliable Networks").
Reliable Networks reserves the right to modify this Policy at any time,
effective upon posting of the modified Policy to this URL:
http://www.reliablenetworks.net/policies/AUP.html.
- Lawful Use
The Network may be used only for lawful purposes. All use must comply with the Laws of the United States of America,
the State of Illinois, and any other applicable laws or regulations, including state and local.
- Computer Fraud and Abuse
The following actions are strictly prohibited on the Network:
- Unauthorized attempts to modify any information stored on systems.
- Unauthorized attempts to defeat or circumvent security features.
- Unauthorized attempts of obtaining access.
- Unauthorized attempts to utilize a system for other than its intended purpose.
- Unauthorized attempts of scanning, probing or vulnerability testing of a system or network.
- Forging of packets or headers of IP or other protocols.
- Unauthorized monitoring of data or traffic.
- Interference or disruption to any other user, host, system or network by direct or indirect means.
- Unacceptable Content
The following content is expressly prohibited from being transmitted by any host on the Network:
Obscene, defamatory, adult, pornographic, or otherwise offensive content or material.
- Electronic Mail
The following is strictly prohibited on the Network:
- Sending unsolicited commercial email a/k/a SPAM messages.
- Sending "Opt-out" mail messages.
- Mail relaying to any server outside of the Network except for authorized mail servers.
- Forging email message headers, including but not limited to, disguising the actual mail sender.
- Third party mail relaying.
- Violations
- Reliable Networks will investigate complaints of incidents involving alleged violations of this policy and respond appropriately.
- Violations of any section of this policy
may result in one or more of the following actions:
- account suspension,
- account termination,
- denial of access to the Network,
- criminal and/or civil prosecution.
- Reliable Networks reserves the right to determine, at its sole discretion, if this policy has been violated.
- Accounts suspended or terminated for violation of this policy will not, without exception, receive credit or refunds.
- Failure of Reliable Networks to enforce a violation of this policy does not constitute acceptance of such violation or exemption to future enforcement.
- Reliable Networks will fully cooperate with law enforcement if a criminal violation is suspected, and will assist in prosecution to the fullest extent of the law.
